Here are the seven steps we take together to help you and us decide if we are a good fit. These steps apply whether you are contemplating opening a new centre or purchasing an existing centre.
Step 1 – Pre-research
We’ve provided loads of information on this web site. Make sure you read the Frequently Asked Questions and read some of our members' Success Stories. Please make a note of any questions you have about getting into business, owning and operating a business, as well as the franchising side of the business.
Step 2 – Talk to us
Complete the enquiry form and we’ll call you, or you can call us during business hours 07 3177 0842 (Brisbane time) – from New Zealand call +61 7 3177 0842. On the call, we’ll chat about:
- your background and your business/career goals
- the geographic area that interests you and some details about the ideal type of site
- the investment and finance options
If you’re interested to find out more, we’ll start a series of phone, Skype and/or face-to-face meetings to answer your questions.
Step 3 – Business Plan Overview
We’ll meet by phone or in person to tell you more about the Healthy Inspirations business. If it’s over the phone, we’ll show you more online. This is where you get to learn how the business operates and if it’s a good match for you. If we both decide to move forward, we’ll send you the Disclosure Document, a draft Franchise Agreement and other important documents for you to read.
Step 4 – Homework Time!
You may wish to speak to other franchisees, or visit them at their centres. We can introduce you to any that you choose.
We encourage applicants to make this stage a personal project, gathering information and asking questions. It's a good idea to establish a project file.
You should read the sample Franchise Agreement and Disclosure Document (written in plain English), making a note of any questions you have for us, or your legal or business advisors.
The ACCC Franchise Code requires that you have your final Franchise Agreement and Disclosure Document for at least 14 days before you can proceed.Typically, you’ll be speaking to your lawyer about the Franchise Agreement and Disclosure Document, an accountant or business advisor about your plans, and a lending institution about your best finance options.
We are happy to have a 3-way call with you and your business advisor to answer any questions.
Step 5 – Taking Action
To secure your franchise and exclusive territory, simply sign the Franchise Agreement (after you've had it for at least 14 days) and send it to us with the franchise fee. We’ll then send you your Pre-Launch manual and Site Selection Guide to guide you towards establishing your business.
Step 6 – Securing Your Site
You’ve secured your territory with us and now it’s all about the site. The Site Selection Guide will help and we'll work with you to select the best site available. Of course, having a good site is important, as is getting the right lease arrangement.
Every site is different and so we provide you with Fitout Guidelines and Brand Guidelines. We have a support team to work with you on all the details.
Step 7 – Online and Onsite Training Before Your Open Day
Healthy Inspirations has two primary types of training for franchisees and their staff:
- Complete our eLearning course for franchisees
- Attend an on-site training week for you and your team at your centre before you open.
This provides the opportunity to focus on the training and the new information without the inevitable interruptions associated with the business, once it is opened.
Rather than you coming to training, and then having to go home to train your team, we bring our training school to your site and train your team. You’ll learn all about putting women on our weight loss programs.
You’ll also learn about our local area marketing, sales, and admin systems. Of course we’ll also help you plan your local marketing so that you successfully launch your club in your local community.
