1 kg ground beef
2 brown onions, diced
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 cloves large garlic, minced
½ tsp onion powder
450g bacon, cooked and chopped
180g can tomato paste
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp ground pepper
340g grated cheddar cheese, divided
Brown the beef and onion in the oil in a large fry pan over medium heat. Add garlic and onion powder and mix well, frying for a further 2 minutes.
Drain excess liquid, then spread beef mixture on bottom of a large baking pan. Stir bacon pieces into the cooked beef.
In medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, tomato paste, cream, salt, and pepper. Stir 240g grated cheese into egg mixture, then pour over the beef and bacon.
Top with remaining grated cheese and bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Serve with a green salad.
