This is a BIG statement to make. But after many years of watching, hearing, and seeing our members (most 40+) achieve this goal, we know it can come true.

If you check out the success stories on this website and in our centres, pay attention to their faces. Typically, their faces in the ‘after’ photos look younger.

They are managing to stay at their new younger, healthier, slimmer selves, and it’s time to let you know that this could be you too!

There are old habits to let go of and there is a certain mindset required to start this process.

There may be friends or family members that will not support you so some hard decisions will need to be made.

Environmental changes at home and work will be required, specifically to remove or store out of sight, foods and drinks that don’t support your goals. Saying goodbye to some foods may be required.

There may be other struggles that you will go through as well, but if you have a vision of your future self, how you look, how you feel, how you live, then perhaps you’re ready to start on this journey.

It takes a commitment, knowing that you’ll be making difficult choices at times. But having clarity and knowing that you will have setbacks along the way, and by focusing on all your small wins then BIG Results will be your outcome.

Our intention is that you find the ability to eat yourself to good health and be at a weight that you feel great with. You will manage and maintain your weight in a way that is easy with no second guessing what you can and can’t eat or drink.

So, what are the best foods to eat for a younger, healthier, slimmer you?

Let’s start with the largest organ on our body – our skin. One of the key foods to make your skin glow is to ensure you have some good fat in your diet. Gone are the days of low fat!!!

Some great options for healthy fats are:

  • Naturally occurring fats in animal proteins: meat, eggs and fish
  • Extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil
  • Dark chocolate or cocoa
  • Flaxseed
  • Avocados

Just remember that fats are much higher in calories so limit your portion size (as per your Daily Planner) but ensure you have a small serving with each meal (depending on your protein choice – high or low fat).

Most people want to reduce their waistline (and tummy fat) and get their waist back.

Tummy fat, commonly called visceral fat, develops over time, and accumulates around your organs. Tummy fat is related to increased health risks such as insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, breast, and colon cancer.

Foods to avoid include all processed carbohydrate foods like bread, pasta, biscuits, and cakes, in fact nearly everything found in a packet or that has a label on it, even gluten free labelling.

Many people experience bloating after eating foods like beans, lentils, chickpeas, and bread. If you can tolerate small amounts then include them from time to time, but if you experience any bloating, it’s best to stay away from these foods.

Your body is the expert. Listen to your body.

Eat foods that are rich in antioxidants, probiotics, and amino acids. These include: animal protein, fatty fish, dairy, green leafy and colourful vegetables, nuts, low-sugar fruits like berries, limes and tomatoes.

Herbs and spices such as ginger, turmeric, garlic, cardamom, ginseng, rosemary, cinnamon, black pepper, and clove are great to add as flavouring to your foods and drinks.

Green tea is one of the healthiest beverages you can drink.

Even small amounts of inflammation over the long term can have negative health outcomes. Foods to be avoided include vegetable oils, margarine, and all junk food and deep-fried fast foods like donuts (the worst!).

Drinks to avoid are sugar-sweetened drinks including soft drinks, sweet tea, energy and sports drinks.

If you can combine the above recommended foods, manage your stress, get good quality sleep, regular exercise, and daily movement and ensuring some sunlight most days, then you will look and feel younger and healthier.
