Suits all phases – Serves 4 to 6


3 cups chopped kale
1/2 Tbsp olive oil
pinch of salt
3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
250g strawberries, quartered
1 large ripe avocado, sliced
1 1/2 Tbsp black sesame seeds
3 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 Tbsp coconut oil
1 Tbsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Place kale in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Massage the oil and salt into the kale.
  2. Add the lettuce, strawberries, and avocado to the bowl, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  3. Combine vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, and pepper in a small jar and shake to combine.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
