Lost 13kgs and 16.04% body weight
I have been a Healthy Inspiration’s member since October 2025, when I reached out to the team when I realised my weight had ballooned especially around my stomach and I no longer felt comfortable or confident in my general appearance. I had also spent 12 months recovering from a herniated disc injury and I needed to address my weight as part of my successful recovery.
I had been part of the great Healthy Inspiration family before in Lismore NSW and had success with reaching my former weight loss goals. However, over time bad habits crept back into my lifestyle, and I had lost sight of the person I wanted to be. I was indulging myself with too many “treats”. The mirror was not lying.
The Healthies team and I set a realistic weight loss goal, and over this time I have followed the recommended nutrition planner throughout my journey. I was encouraged by seeing the weekly weight loss, as it was instant gratification and so were the compliments from family and friends. As a remote member the support from the Healthies team was terrific, having to be accountable with my weekly coach call was certainly a motivator to stay on track. I also enjoyed making the recipes in the supplied low carb cookbook, and I would say that the breakfast muffins, protein balls and apple cottage cheese pancakes have been firm favourites.
I would like to point out that on this weight loss journey I am retired, not raising a family and living solo, so I have time to make this all about me!! My biggest success has been fitting into the skirt I wore to my daughter’s wedding in 2010, and I certainly feel younger and more energised with the weight loss.
My goals moving forward include maintaining my goal weight into the future and now embracing an exercise plan that includes resistance training. Currently I have been walking daily (lucky I live by the beach) and doing line dancing once a week.

- Set small achievable goals – extra steps, drink more water, try a new recipe.
- Find an exercise buddy – having to meet your friend certainly motivates you.
- Your daily planner is your friend – complete each day to keep on track.
