Lost 16.3 kilos and 45 cm.
I was getting to the stage where I was just too big and uncomfortable. I wanted to be a good role model to others and walk the walk and talk the talk when it came to my business on holistic health and wellness.
When I first started, I was grumpy and was a bit resentful for doing it and having to answer to people as to what I was eating, but then I weighed in and got amazing results so that began my motivation to keep on going.
I was getting some great results each week and even became Slimmer of the Month two months in a row.
I have hit a small challenge the last couple months with my life routine being turned on its head – although I have fluctuated up and down a little bit, I have still maintained my weight and even lost a bit more. It just goes to show the challenges that life can throw at you and also how important routine is in weight loss.
I was most surprised at how just diet can really make all the difference: I have bad knees and so I focused on my diet more than anything and got impressive results. I was pleasantly surprised.
The support I receive is amazing and they understand about life’s ups and downs that happen that could influence my weight loss journey.
Holding myself accountable stops me making too many excuses and keeps me on track.
Everyone including staff and gym members are so supportive and it only inspires me to keep going. It really is a wonderful place to be part of.
Tips
- Just get started. Slow and steady and you will be surprised at the results you will get.
- Try to find that routine so that you keep with your food prep.
- Diet is more important than anything else, even if you are struggling to get sufficient exercise in each week, don’t let that deter you. Diet is important in weight loss and you will still get fantastic results. I can attest to that.
