Lost 10kgs and 42.5cm – and won the Health Story of 2018 in the Healthy Women Awards

I had abnormal & severe ectopic heart beats. Poor sleep due to these abnormal heart rhythms caused me to feel more depressed and anxious.
Blood tests at this time also revealed that I had high cholesterol. I have a family history of high cholesterol, high blood pressure and heart disease. I also had pain in my knees and hips on standing & walking short distances.
After many tests, the cardiologist said the only treatment to decrease / improve these beats would be to take medications. My cardiac medication
doses were slowly doubled, then tripled with little effect.

I was turning 50 in August which gave me 6 months to do my own study. I wanted to see if becoming healthier, plus decreasing my weight, would reduce my cholesterol levels and stop/decrease these abnormal heart beats.

WOW. 6 months later I’d decreased my cholesterol levels which meant no
requirement for medication. I woke one morning waiting for my abnormal heart beat to start and it didn’t happen and has stayed in a normal rhythm
since!!! My cardiac meds have gone in the bin.

I can walk and stand all day and feel so much lighter on my feet. I now sleep better. I feel happy and healthy.

The Healthy Inspirations staff are always encouraging and supportive, and the daily planners keep you accountable. The environment is fun and intimate. The ladies are all friendly, inspiring and welcoming.

My journey has only just begun. I will continue on this journey with the support from HI and will continue to monitor my cholesterol.

  2. Be accountable for everything you put in your mouth by continuing to
    use your daily planner.
  3. Try to exercise regularly – build muscle to burn that fat!
