Lost 9.2 kilos and 7.9% of her body weight in the 12 Week Beat the Winter Blues Challenge

I entered the challenge because Ange was super supportive. I knew it would be a challenge that I could focus on without problems and it would help me to eat on a regular basis instead of one day on, one day off.

The short-term aspect of the challenge was good as I tend to lose focus because life can get in the way. I suffer from depression and anxiety so I knew that it would be good for me.

I have started walking again which I haven’t done for over a year because of the weight and because I had hurt my knees in a fall earlier this year. I really was feeling like rubbish, my relationship was in tatters and so I needed to re-focus on myself which I hadn’t done in a very long time. Now I walk 6ks a day and am challenging myself to go to 9ks on alternate days.

Coach Ange was awesome, she was always so excited in our video calls. Her excitement rubbed off on me and so I would be more focused. She was awesome.

My Top 3 Tips

  1. Stay in contact with your support person.
  2. Drink the shakes and eat as directed because not eating doesn’t get the weight off.
  3. Don’t focus on exercising at the beginning, add it in a little at a time after the first month when you’ve got into a good eating habit.
