Lost 49.3kgs and 37.18% body weight

My journey started back in 2014 after my second child. I had gained some weight and wanted to get rid of some unwanted kilos. I had done lots of research and tried many fad diets, meal replacement programs and others but none of them worked.

Fast forward another decade and 3 more children (yes I have 5!) and I had really packed on the weight. I was so unhealthy and just uncomfortable in my own body. My light bulb moment was January 2024 when it was so hot and I was on our annual family Christmas holidays, where I didn’t even want to leave our cabin. My clothes barely fit, and I told myself that this was it as soon there would be no sizes for me at the shops to buy. It was a hard time, very upsetting and depressing.

But what I wanted and needed was something that I could stick to and was sustainable long term, and that is when I found Healthy Inspirations and saw real results. I work with the team at Prospect SA (I live interstate) remotely (simply over the phone!) and I would have never thought I would be where I am today back when I started.

I found that some days were hard at the start, but I just took it one day at a time and didn’t give up. Your future self will thank you when you see the results as it really does work eating ‘normal’ everyday food. It was also very important that I could manage my results eating supermarket food, as it is sustainable and I didn’t want to be making different meals to the rest of my family.

My number one tip is be organised with your meal planning and shopping, and that’s what’s kept me on track for so long as I have what I need in the house. If I have an off-plan day or meal that’s totally ok, I don’t beat myself up about it, I just get back on track by the next meal, and don’t wait for ‘tomorrow’ or a ‘Monday’ for a fresh start. I use the Healthies protein shakes for my morning and afternoon snacks as they taste great, keep me satisfied and curb any cravings for sweets plus I never miss my weekly remote check-in with the Healthies coaches.

I feel like a completely different person now, and I also now enjoy going to a local gym and it’s become part of my routine. When I don’t go, I actually miss it! I have become so more active with my kids, and we recently went away camping and usually my husband would be the one taking the kids to the pool and water slides and I would just sit on the side watching, but this time it was me with them in the water and it felt amazing.

My journey is not over yet but I am so proud of how far I have come, and the life I have regained.
