Lost 12.8kgs – that’s a whopping 19.81% of her body weight!
I had been in a rut for a number of years. I knew I needed to change my eating (& drinking!) habits in order to feel healthier plus I wanted to look and feel better in fitted clothes. I just never seemed to get around to starting anything. I even put off my starting date at Healthies!
I had never had to watch what I ate before, but I wasn’t altogether happy with my body shape and the fit of my clothes. I knew quite a lot about healthy eating and exercise, but I didn’t quite know how to put it all together.
I tried and loved many of the weekly recipes; often making batches of my favourites, so I could re-heat meals at short notice. The other great thing about the program was the wonderful support I received from the all the coaches! I found attending the weekly nutrition check-ins and jotting down in my food journal what I’d eaten each day, was a huge help in making progress and ultimately reaching and maintaining my goal weight. Throughout the program, I never felt deprived. In fact, I was encouraged to eat 5 times per day; three balanced meals and 2 protein snacks. I learned about portion control and although I exercised regularly, I didn’t need to spend hours working out to notice the improvement in my shape. Being lighter made everything easier.
The program also transitioned me from weight loss mode to maintenance, with guidance on how to re-introduce certain foods in appropriate potions and how to handle food and drink in social situations.
I have so much more energy now, I feel great & find I am more motivated & positive in all aspects of my life.
