Lost 8kgs in 9 weeks
Before starting Healthy Inspirations, I was feeling disheartened about my attempts to shift some kilos. I felt like I had tried everything to lose just a few kilograms, and started to blame it on mid-life, menopause, and hormones. I noticed some of my fellow Dragon Boat teammates kicking some big weight goals and discovered they were losing weight with Healthy Inspirations Prospect.
I got started and the lovely Health Coaches at Healthies guided me with simple nutrition changes and easy-to-follow guidelines. I love that I get to enjoy delicious protein shakes and bars as in between meal snacks, while having three proper meals packed with protein, fruit, and vegetables. I never feel hungry, I make better choices when eating out, and I always carry the right snacks with me.
Having weekly nutrition check-ins really kept me motivated, helped navigate challenges and celebrate wins. It was also helpful to share my journey with others on the program; so we could cheer each other on, plus share and learn tips with each other.
But what really makes this journey special is that it’s not just about the number on the scale – it’s about how I feel. I am down two dress sizes, have more energy, more confidence, and a greater understanding of how to nourish my body without feeling deprived. I am also fitter and ready to give more physical things a go like hiking and tackling those inclines on the hills much easier.
For the first time in years, I feel in control of my health and my choices. With the knowledge and tools, I have learnt at Healthy Inspirations, it has made me realise I can keep the weight off long-term. And best of all is that I am feeling so much better about myself, and family and friends are noticing and showering me with compliments!
