Lost 2.7 kilos in the 12 Week Beat the Winter Blues Challenge
I entered the Beat the Winter Blues 12 Week challenge to get fit and healthy for my daughter, finding ways to eat better, to lose weight, extra energy and sleep well.
I enjoyed doing the different task each week. Seeing what other people have done, knowing we are not alone and comfortable sharing what I have done.
I broke my toe which was an unexpected challenge but having the supportive Zoom meeting helped me stay on track and I didn’t put on too much weight.
The weekly coaching is amazing. I wouldn’t be able to do this on my own at the start. I find the coach session once a week helped a lot for me.
When someone asks me what have I been doing I say, “This is what I’ve been up to then explain what this programme is all about. Have a read and give it a go.”
Some things that have really worked for me are:
- Follow the guidelines for each stage. Write everything down, planning and only buy what you are cooking.
- Doing the mindsets and reading the vision statement is important to stay positive and to feel good about yourself.
- Only weigh yourself once a week and get a good bed time routine as sleep is very important.
