Suits all phases – Serves 4


2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
4 (120g) porterhouse steaks
2 lemons, halved


  1. Combine the spices in a small bowl. Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel, then rub with the spice mixture.
  2. Place under a medium grill or on a BBQ, and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until done to your liking, turning halfway through.
  3. Meanwhile, place the lemon halves on the grill or BBQ for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly charred.
  4. Serve the steak with a salad, and with the lemon to squeeze over the steaks.
