Serves 4


500g swede, peeled and grated
250g haloumi cheese, grated
4 eggs
3 Tbsp coconut flour
1/8 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
butter, for frying


  1. Mix all ingredients except butter in a bowl. Let sit for a few minutes.
  2. Form 12 patties with your hands or spoon into a fry pan with a little butter.
  3. Fry on medium high in batches. Turn the patties after a few minutes, lowering the heat slightly to avoid burning. Keep hot.
  4. Serve with a green salad and sliced avocado.

Tip: You could also add smoked salmon or bacon or left-over meat to this meal.
